Athletics Program Lead – Part-time ( 25 hours)

General Function: The Athletics Lead is responsible for working with Athletic staff members to implement sports and non-traditional sports activities for Club members ages 7-18. He or She will also track staff schedules, program schedules and assist with report requirements.  Hours are generally from 2:00pm to 6:00pm or 4:00 to 8:00pm

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Ability to provide guidance to staff and volunteers.
  • Demonstrated skills in working with youth ages 7-18.
  • Demonstrated skills in planning, organizing, and conducting group sessions and activities with youth.
  • Basic knowledge of rules and skills related to sport activities.
  • Strong communication skills (primarily oral), patience, and positive caring attitude.
  • Must have clean driving record
  • Must maintain a current CPR/First Aid Certification
  • Ability to actively oversee a busy environment.
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED
  • Must be at least 21+

Café Assistant – Part-time (20hrs)

The Boys & Girls Club Café Assistant will be responsible for the daily operations of the kitchen, and preparing nutritious food quickly and efficiently for our club members. The Café assistant will work closely with our Nutrition Manager to ensure that all café staff members are complying with safety and hygiene procedures. Hours are generally from 3:00pm to 7:00pm.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Ability to provide guidance to staff and volunteers.
  • Demonstrated skills in working with youth ages 7-18.
  • Demonstrated skills in planning, organizing, and conducting group sessions and activities with youth.
  • Basic knowledge of prep and cooking skills.
  • Basic cleaning and sanitation skills
  • Strong communication skills (primarily oral), patience, and positive caring attitude.
  • Ability to pick up and move 50 to 70 pounds.
  • Must have clean driving record
  • Must maintain a current CPR/First Aid Certification
  • Ability to actively oversee a busy environment.
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED
  • Must be at least 19+

Education assistant (15hrs)

The Educational Assistant supports Club members academically, socially and emotionally. The Assistant will work closely with our Education Lead and Education Manager to provide homework help, connecting youth to tutoring services, guidance and discipline and facilitating STEM activities. Hours are generally from 3:00pm to 6:00pm.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Demonstrated skills in working with youth ages 7-12.
  • Demonstrated skills in planning, organizing, and conducting group sessions and activities with youth.
  • Basic knowledge of home work assistance, STEM activties for ages 7-12.
  • Strong communication skills (primarily oral), patience, and positive caring attitude.
  • Must have clean driving record
  • Must maintain a current CPR/First Aid Certification
  • Ability to actively oversee a busy environment.
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED
  • Must be at least 19+
