The goal of the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Lowell is to ensure that our members have opportunities for success through three main program focus areas:
Academic Success – We want to help our youth graduate from high school ready for college, trade school, military service, or employment, so we offer homework help, Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) programs, financial literacy, career programs, and music enrichment.
Healthy Lifestyles – We want our youth to adopt a healthy diet, practice healthy lifestyle choices and make a lifelong commitment to fitness, so we provide sports and recreational programs to keep them active, and we help them learn about how to make smart decisions about alcohol and drug use and personal relationships. Our Healthy Meals program serves free, nutritious dinners during the school year to all youth members. During the summer months, our Boys & Girls Club serves free breakfast and lunch.
Good Character & Citizenship – We want our youth to become engaged citizens, involved in the community, registered voters, and to model strong character, so we provide opportunities to volunteer at neighborhood cleanups, educational forums, advocacy programs and cultural events.
