Thalia Estevez

A little bit about Thalia:

Thalia Estevez holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Cambridge College, a Medical Assistant Diploma from the Porter & Chester Institute, and is currently working on receiving her Master’s Degree in Social Work from  Merrimack College. Thalia serves the Youth Services Manager at the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Lowell. In this role, Thalia is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the Club’s mentoring program, providing different types of counseling and case management for Club members, developing a social service network outside and within the neighborhood/community, and referring members and families as needed. Prior to working at the Club, Thalia was the MSW fellow at the Stevens Service Learning Center, was a 6th-8th grade ELA teacher at two different charter schools in Lawrence, was a part-time academic advisor with adult students who were looking to obtain their GED’s, learn English, and obtain citizenship, and worked as a case manager in youth development. 

When not working in the Club, you can find Thalia reading or spending time with her two sons. Thalia chose the Club because she enjoys the fact that every day is unique in it’s own way and that each member is different and brings their own life experience, needs, and expectations to the Club. To Thalia, there is nothing more rewarding than empowering others to grow and reach their full potential.
