Marlena Garcia is the Corporate and Volunteer Coordinator at the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Lowell, where she ensures a productive and rewarding experience for volunteers. From recruiting and screening to onboarding and evaluating, she supports program staff while fostering meaningful engagement. Having served as a Makerspace Lead in 2025, Marlena finds joy in guiding others, helping them invest their time effectively and build resourcefulness.
Born and raised in Lowell, she began her journey in youth programming at Lowell Parks and Recreation at age 13 and has dedicated herself to strengthening self-confidence, mentorship, and creative outlets for Gen Z.
Marlena represents multiple media platforms and organizations, including Performer Media LLC, El Mundo Boston, Wicked Bites, InBoston Magazine, Original Living Magazine, and Nouveau Networking. She brings six years of experience in production, creative direction, and live event management, integrating culture and values into edutainment and personal development through talent recruitment and hands-on programming.
With a background in journalism and entrepreneurship, Marlena challenges limiting beliefs, fosters healing in safe spaces, and creates lasting pathways for young professionals. Driven by a mission to become the person she once needed, she is committed to helping communities strive with purpose and advocate for youth to have access to opportunities and resources.
Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, she also works in life coaching, encouraging adolescents, Gen Z, and mature adults to pursue abundance and cultivate a higher quality of life.
