Gifts of Stock
A gift of appreciated stock to the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Lowell can benefit our youth and can benefit you as well: you will receive a charitable income tax deduction for the full fair market value of the securities, and at the same time you may avoid capital gains taxes on appreciated stock. This helps stretch your gift even further.
To make a gift of stock to the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Lowell, provide this form to your broker to complete the transaction. We recommend that you contact Patrick Connerty at Enterprise Bank to notify him of the transfer.

IRA Charitable Rollovers
If you are 70½ years old or older, you can take advantage of a simple way to benefit youth in Lowell and receive tax benefits in return. You can give up to $100,000 from your IRA directly to a qualified charity such as ours without having to pay income taxes on the money.
Why an IRA Charitable Rollover?
- Your gift will be put to use today, allowing you to see the difference your donation is making.
- You pay no income taxes on the gift. The transfer generates neither taxable income nor a tax deduction, so you benefit even if you do not itemize your deductions.
- If you have not yet taken your required minimum distribution for the year, your IRA charitable rollover gift can satisfy all or part of that requirement.
If you’d like to designate the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Lowell as the beneficiary of your IRA required minimum distribution, contact your IRA broker or administrator who will issue a check directly to the Boys & Girls Club.

The Dutton Street Society is named for the first permanent location of the Lowell Boys Club (now known as the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Lowell), where many current local leaders found a safe haven and fun place to learn as young people. Members of this special giving society have chosen to invest in the young people of Lowell to ensure that community leaders continue to emerge from the Boys & Girls Club. Learn more here.
