Youth Development Director
Shirley Pimentel is the Youth Development Director at the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Lowell. In this role, Shirley has responsibility for the development, implementation, and evaluation of a broad range of programs and initiatives. Additionally, Shirley supervises and develops personnel, and works with the Deputy Executive Director to build relationships with community partners. Shirley has 20 years of experience in youth development from previous positions in non-profit community based organizations and schools, and holds a Bachelors in Science. She is also working towards a Masters in Child and Adolescent Development Psychology.
Shirley resides in Lowell with her husband and four children. In her free time she likes spending time with her family, traveling, crafting, and finding adventure through outdoor activities such as hiking and kayaking. Shirley recently started an Outdoor Adventure Club at the Club with an aim to introduce BIPOC members to the benefits of spending time in nature. She loves the Club because of its commitment to Lowell’s young people and because it values being energetic, fun, and diverse.
