Attending an event is a great way to learn more about the Boys & Girls Club, meet some of our Club Members, support kids and teens in our community, and have a great time with friends and neighbors!
Annual Holiday Auction: Each year, on the Thursday after Thanksgiving, the Holiday Auction, the Club’s biggest fundraising event of the year, takes place at Lowell Memorial Theatre. The Annual Holiday Auction is known as both a great time and a great opportunity connect with other community leaders, see firsthand the aspirations and talents of kids and teens in Lowell, and savor savor a delicious meal catered by Lenzi’s. Attending the Holiday auction gives you access to bid on neat trips and experiences such as a trip to Italy or a Safari adventure, and participating in the silent auction gives you access to gift baskets, unique experiences, sporting events, and more.
Hall of Fame: The Hall of Fame is designed to celebrate our alumni and stakeholders’ achievements and their exceptional contributions to helping the Club to achieve its mission. Hall of Fame inductees inspire members to know that they can reach the same heights and continue the Club’s tradition of excellence and transforming lives. Youth of the Year: For more than 70 years, The Boys & Girls Club of America Youth of the Year program has honored and celebrated the nation’s most inspiring teens and their incredible journeys. Stories of outstanding leadership, service, academic excellence and dedication to living a healthy lifestyle have made Youth of the Year America’s premier leadership and recognition program for teens. These amazing young people represent the voice and spirit of hope for America. Insipiring all kids to lead. To succeed. To Inspire.
Each year, one exceptional Club member is selected to represent the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Lowell as our Youth of the Year, serving as an ambassador for our Club as well as a voice for all of our community’s young people. Club members are recommended to enter the Youth of the Year by staff, then participate in a rigorous application and interview process with members of the community before one of these outstanding young people is named our Club’s Youth of the Year.
