Planning for the 2025 Youth of the Year Celebration is currently underway!

Several outstanding Club Teens are hard at work gathering community and Club recommendations, writing essays, preparing for interviews, and practicing their speeches.

Napoleon is a senior at Lowell High School. He has been a part of our Boys & Girls Club of Greater Lowell basketball team and was team captain during the 2023-2024 season. He is also a youth leader at the Club working in the athletics and recreation department. Outside of the Club he is completing an internship at Chess Engineering and loves taking walks, looking at nature, and hanging out with his friends. In the fall he will be attending UMass Lowell as a mechanical engineering major.

Kevin is a senior at Greater Lowell Technical High School. He currently works in the cafeteria at the high school for his co-op and part-time as a youth leader in the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Lowell membership department. He has been a member of the Club travel basketball team for 4 years and won 6th man of the year. In his spare time he enjoys crocheting, trying new foods, and playing sports. In the fall he will be attending UMass Lowell as a civil engineering major.

Hadassa is a freshman at Greater Lowell Technical High School. She is a youth leader at the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Lowell in the nutrition department and has given speeches at our Holiday Auction and Lowell PRIDE. She has always been an active participant in all Club activities and loves giving back to the community through volunteering and advocacy. At school she is active in the freshmen leadership committee, the Black Unity Club, and the Jesus Club. She loves playing flag football and writing poetry in her free time.

Jayden is a senior at Lowell High School. He has been working part-time as youth leader for the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Lowell in the membership department for almost 3 years and has also been a part of the mock trial team at school. For fun he loves watching movies, playing video, games, going to the gym, and making art. In the fall he will attend Middlesex Community College as part of their fire protection and safety technology program.

The selected Youth of the Year will serve as a role model, ambassador and spokesperson for the Boys & Girls Club and our members.

We invite the community to join us us in celebrating these inspirational Teens! Our annual Youth of the Year Celebration will take place at the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Lowell on Thursday, March 20, 2025.

During this event you can meet the candidates,  hear each of them deliver a speech about how the Club has impacted their life. At the event, one of the candidates will be selected to be the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Lowell’s 2025 Youth of the Year.
