John is the Facilities Manager at the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Lowell. John is responsible for all general building maintenance and repair duties including IT management, preventative maintenance, cleaning, scheduling all required certifications and inspections, inventory and proper storage of supplies, etc. He keeps entrances cleared and safe in winter, performs exterior cleaning and landscaping, and coordinates volunteer maintenance projects as well as all facilities, IT and maintenance services from outside companies in conjunction with the Deputy Executive Director.
As a kid, John spent a lot of time at the Boys Club, back when it was just for boys 40+ years ago. He learned to swim, played pool, and went to the most epic summer camp – from archery, ponies, swimming, to arts & crafts. Just having the best times!
Being able to join the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Lowell as the Facilities Manager now, especially when they are taking things up a notch by expanding to twice the capacity, is a dream come true for John. To be able to come in to this in a turning point for the club is beyond exciting! John’s excited to take his experience to help bring the Club into a new level of service for the youth of Lowell.
The team here already does incredible stuff for Lowell kids. John can’t wait to jump in with projects to upgrade the facilities and take the programming and community impact to the next level!
