Brad is the Volunteer Manager at the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Lowell. Brad manages volunteers and prospective volunteers who help the Club with various programming and service needs. There are many community partners who support the Club by building connections with volunteers, and Brad helps to facilitate and foster these relationships.
Prior to joining the Club, Brad earned a bachelor’s in neuroscience from Boston University and a master’s of education from UMASS Boston. He then worked as a science teacher in Boston for 8 years, teaching chemistry, computer science, and 8th grade science. In 2018, Brad was recognized by the Yale School of Management for his teacher action research project in facilitating classroom discussions in his chemistry classes.
Outside the classroom, Brad has been heavily involved in the sport of wrestling. He was a team captain in high school at Nashoba Regional, and wrestled on the varsity team at Boston University. After college, he worked as a wrestling coach at various schools and community centers around Boston. Coaching wrestling is one of his greatest passions because of the way that he uses the sport to help young people grow and develop skills that they can apply to all aspects of their lives.
